Bandits Are Champs!!!
For the first time in their organization's history, the New York Bandits are officially raising the EFA trophy. They got past the Paterson Gravediggerz at Fosina Field by a score of 42-22, pulling away in the game's final quarter.
The Bandits and Gravediggerz battled back and forth through most of the game, with the Bandits taking an early lead before the Gravediggerz roared back to take a late first-half lead. Later in the second half, the Gravediggerz came back yet again to take a 22-20 lead, but the Bandits returned first amost instantly, and after a series of mistakes plagued Paterson, the Bandits took full advantage, scoring two more TDs in the 4th after taking the lead to put the game away leaving little doubt by the end.
The Bandits officially took two of three meetings against the Gravediggerz, who were a great first-year program in the EFA. The Bandits completed their season with a record of 9-1, turning their program around after not having won a game officially on the field since 2021 (18 straight losses).
